Our Ordering Process

Whilst Holzbau are experts in creating stair nosings from most plank flooring products, we are manufacturers only and operate on an entirely ex-works basis.

This means we only supply our stair nosings to flooring specialists and related industries. It also requires that our customers deliver their own flooring to us for manufacture and are also responsible for collection of their finished orders.

This type of operational structure allows us to solely focus on what we do well, which is manufacture stair nosings from the provided plank flooring, whilst maintaining the ability to turn around customer orders efficiently.

Our responsive turnaround time means that most orders can be completed with the finished product wrapped and ready for collection, within a 7 to 10 day period from the delivery of the source material.

Delivery of Product

Customers organise and deliver their source product (any plank flooring products including hybrid flooring, laminate flooring, LVT flooring and engineered flooring) to our Gold Coast factory and provide Holzbau with a purchase order.

Note: We recommend that all products are checked by the customer prior to manufacture to ensure they meet the appropriate rating as specified in the Australian Building code specific to the intended application

Receipt of Product

On receipt, Holzbau check in the delivered product and reconciles it against the customer's purchase order - this step helps ensure the accuracy of the order.

Schedule Production

Once the delivered flooring is received, it is checked against the customer purchase order, a job is raised in the system and the order of custom stair nosings is scheduled in production for floorboard to stair conversion.

Manufacturing

Holzbau have developed many processes and techniques unique to our Gold Coast factory and have truly mastered how to match stair nosing in a way no one else can. Our manufacturing capabilities enable us to convert hybrid, laminate and vinyl plank floorboards into matching stair treads to the provided floor at scale, whilst still maintaining a high quality finish.

Our stair nosing processes vary according to product type involving a variety of machinery, cutters, adhesives and substrates.

Prepare Product For Collection

Once the manufacturing process is complete, the matching stair treads/nosings are wrapped or crated according to the specific delivery and freight requirements. The customer is issued with an invoice and advised that the product is ready for collection.
