Holzbau stair nosings can be made from just about any quality plank flooring products. We convert hybrid, laminate, LVT and engineered planks across most brands of plank flooring readily available in the Australian market.

No. Holzbau are manufacturers only and do not supply any of the flooring products used in the manufacture of stair nosings.

All flooring products are supplied to us by the customer, ensuring that stair nosings will be an exact match to customers flooring itself.

The slip rating of the stairs is subject to the original material from which the nosings are being manufactured, therefore the suitability of any flooring product to be used on stairs, as well as consideration for the environment in which the stairs are being installed should be assessed prior to placing an order with Holzbau.

Further consideration should be given as to whether additional anti-slip treatment will be required at the time of installation.

Holzbau stair nosings are made from the same plank flooring products that are laid on the floors.  This means all plank flooring products regardless of the type of plank or the brand can be offered with a perfectly matched stair nosing solution.  

Other generic nosing products usually don’t provide an exact match to many of the readily available flooring products, and therefore will not create the same seamless finish as a Holzbau nosing.  

Some flooring ranges will come with their own matched nosings, however these can only be used with products from that specific range and therefore may limit the choice of flooring in projects that involve stairs.

No. Whilst Holzbau manufacture nosings only, in doing so and by leaving the original lock of the source flooring product intact, installers simply use an additional floor plank to complete the required depth of the tread during the installation process.

Holzbau’s standard nosing profiles for all product types are square edged.  

For most laminate, engineered and hybrid products Holzbau also offer a flush face finish. 

Holzbau do not manufacture any round edge bull nosing profiles.
